On "Open Garden Day," many garden owners open their gardens and invite interested visitors.

On Sunday, June 14 and June 28, 2026, numerous private gardens in Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, and surrounding regions will open their doors for visitors. The diversely designed gardens offer inspiration and ideas for one's own garden as well as interesting insights into different gardening styles. Most gardens are open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Open Gardens in the Association Municipality of Arzfeld:

Jucken, Astrid & Reinhold Weber / June 14 and June 28, Berensrech 3, T 06564/4625, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Individually designed demonstration garden in the style of English cottage gardens. All plants from the Capitulare de villis, the land estate regulation of Charlemagne from the 8th century. Medicinal plant collection, including TCM plants and rare species. Rare perennials, historical vegetable varieties. Sempervivum, Echeveria, Aeonium, and Saxifraga collections. Rare woody plants. Wild plants. All plants labeled in German/botanical. Extensive grounds with seating. Plant sales.

Sevenig (Our), Familie Weise / June 14
Approx. 200 m2 large nature-friendly, insect-friendly wild herb garden over two levels with about 60 different edible plants, apple and pear trees, herb bed, seating area, cultural corner. Mrs. Weise is happy to advise visitors on the edible plants, which she also describes in her wild herb cookbook "Delicacies from Nature."
