"Tafiti and Ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-uropa's treasure of gold"

On the occasion of the nationwide "Day of Libraries," the City Library of the Dr.-Hanns-Simon-Stiftung Bitburg invites you to a reading theater on Monday, October 26, 2026, at 3.00 p.m.

Guest is the Reading Theater Michael Hain from Mainz, which will present a staged reading with a hearty pinch of theater from “Tafiti and Ur-ur-ur-ur-ur-uropapa's Treasure” based on the book of the same name by Julia Boehme and Julia Ginsbach.

Tafiti discovers a hidden letter from his great-great-great-great-great-grandpa – inside: a real treasure map. The adventurous meerkat sets out with his best friend – the brush-eared pig Pinsel – to search for the treasure. Will they find it? Because it's not that easy: in the hot savannah, they are not alone and dangers lurk everywhere...

The actor Michael Hain takes the children on a fantasy journey to southern Africa. At breathtaking speed, he morphs into nine different roles and brings the characters of the children's book to life. A performed reading pleasure!

The staged reading lasts about 60 minutes and is suitable for children aged 5 and older.
Unfortunately, children below the minimum age are not allowed entry.
Admission is free.
