A festival for jazz gourmets Bebop greetings from Paris are offered by the Jean-Philippe Bordier Quartet on stage in the festival hall of the Beda House, jazz music with a strong French influence.

The acclaimed Parisian guitarist Jean-Philippe Bordier highlights the contemporary jazz landscape with his new album "Four is More." The work exclusively features original compositions that stylistically draw inspiration from legends Wes Montgomery and George Benson – yet develop a distinct, modern sound of their own.

With an unusual lineup of organ, vibraphone, and drums, Bordier creates an energetic dialogue between tradition and innovation, merging swing, funk, and Latin into an infectious groove. "Four is More" is more than just a tribute to the great guitarists of jazz: it is a tribute to the groove itself. Bordier's compositions embrace the warm sounds of hard bop and the rhythmic complexity of the rare groove era, without losing themselves in nostalgia. Instead, a vibrant, danceable sound emerges that excites both purists and a young audience. Bordier, who has already shared the stage with international stars such as Michel Petrucciani and Bireli Lagrene, once again proves with "Four is More" his instinct for timeless jazz with a modern twist. His playing is technically brilliant but never self-serving – the focus is always on the flow, the joy of playing music, and the pleasure of the groove. The Jean-Philippe Bordier Quartet features Jean-Philippe Bordier – guitar, Guillaume Naud – organ, Pascal Bivalski – vibraphone, and Andreas Neubauer – drums.
