The Anima Quartet is performing at the Bitburg Jazz Club

The Jazz Initiative Eifel presents new musical colors again and again at the Bitburg Jazz Club, both in the field of jazz as well as in related styles. The Anima 4tet is a renowned international jazz quartet that presents a refined reinterpretation of Italian songs and the Neapolitan tradition through the language of contemporary jazz.

The project unites Italian singer Manuela Rufolo with talented musicians from the European jazz scene, creating a unique artistic encounter where tradition, improvisation, and innovative arrangements merge. The repertoire combines iconic songs from the Italian heritage — particularly from the Neapolitan tradition — with original compositions. With an open improvisational approach, Anima 4tet explores new soundscapes while preserving the emotional depth and expressiveness of these melodies. At the center of the project is Manuela Rufolo, winner of the Aquila d’Oro International Prize 2024. She is known for her profound interpretation and her ability to reshape Italian music culture. She is supported by talented European jazz musicians: Pierre Brouant on piano, Gautier Laurent on double bass, and Jean-Marc Robin on drums. Through their concerts, Anima 4tet offers a musical journey between Mediterranean memory and contemporary creation—where the legacy of Italian songs meets the energy and freedom of jazz.

The Monday Night Jazz takes place on Monday, February 15, 2027, starting at 8:00 p.m. in the Jazz Ballroom at the Bowling Center Bitburg, Charles-Lindbergh-Allee 5. Admission is free.
