Just now, the two village policemen Peter Hornbach and his colleague Hans Mörtel have embarked on their well-deserved retirement, and already they are called in for a murder case by the LKA.
Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all – at least from the perspective of the LKA in Mainz. But what wouldn't one do to catch the murderer as quickly as possible? In Bad Bertrich, of all places, where one usually enjoys their spa in peace, a patient named Adam Trutschke is murdered in an artistic manner at a clinic. The trail leads to a well-known gangster who has expanded his network across Europe. Now Peter and Hans are on the case again – in an unknown land: Spain. Having never seen the inside of an airplane, they are now heading to Mallorca. If chief inspector Schiwinsky and police chief Alexa Brauneliss had even the slightest inkling of the trouble that awaited them, they would still be sitting in their idyllic Eifel village.
Together with Interpol, they are tracking the leads of a gang following a spectacular painting auction, which should also lead to the perpetrator. At the same time, the search in the Eifel continues. Can the detectives assist our policemen in Mallorca? As expected, Peter Hornbach and Hans Mörtel find it difficult to work on the island. They would rather enjoy the Mediterranean sun and sip a cocktail by the pool. But the two have always shown a knack for getting lucky in the past, and this time they dive into the investigative work with great enthusiasm.
Crime Scene Falkenlay – Murderous Art is a thriller that will provide you with a funny and nostalgic movie night. A perfect world, seemingly set in the 80s, constantly clashing with the new technical and linguistic realities of today. Seasoned with the scent of the Mediterranean and the feeling of Mallorca. Lovingly written and arranged by Dietmar Johann, a true local enthusiast, and a motivated group of over 90 amateur actors who bring the Eifel to the screen in its most beautiful form. A total of nearly 200 people participated in the film.
Admission is free; donations are appreciated. The proceeds will benefit the Verein Lichtblick Bitburg e.V.
