“Sitting quietly is not possible with this band. The music provokes movement, it's going to be a fireworks display,” says an organizer. And that's not too much promised.

“Mrs King & Her Jewels” is a hot formation around the charismatic singer and namesake Meike König. Under the motto: “Let the good times roll,” an exhilarating quintet takes the stage to ignite a musical fireworks display and spread the best mood!

König has a sensitively powerful voice that can also produce rough and harsh tones, effortlessly rocking the stage. In the style of Etta James or Bessie  Smith, her program ranges from blues, boogie woogie, soul to rock `N roll.

Her jewels Marius Labsch on piano, bluesharp Frank Rihm, Stephan Roffmann on double bass, and the German Blues Award winner Andreas Bock on drums are top-notch musicians who provide entertainment at the highest level. With enormous dynamism and energy, they celebrate the music and roll out the carpet for their charming frontwoman.

A concert of the highest class is offered here. The quintet brings their insane joy of playing to the edge of madness, and the stage becomes a grand playground of music and emotions. The air might get tight! Dancing is explicitly welcome!

“Mrs. King & Her Jewels” will perform on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, starting at 7 PM on the stage in Bedagarten. In case of unfavorable weather, the performance will take place in the fest hall of Haus Beda. Admission is free.
