Eardeler Fair 2026 - Fair in Irrel

“Eardeler Kiermes” Invites You to Celebrate on the Banks of the Prüm
Irrel. From September 5 to 7, Irrel will be all about the traditional “Eardeler Kiermes.” This year’s fair is organized by the Lyra Irrel Music Association, which invites visitors to the newly redesigned festival grounds “Auf dem Werth,” located directly on the banks of the Prüm River. On all three days, guests can look forward to a varied program featuring music, entertainment, and culinary delights for the whole family.
The festivities kick off on Saturday, September 5, at 4 p.m. with the opening of the beer stand and a girls’ flea market. Around 5 p.m., the Irrel Youth Fire Department will present a drill. The evening’s musical program begins at 6:30 p.m. with the young brass band “BAF – Blech & Fun,” before the Eifel-based group “Eifel Brass” takes the stage. “Alvin & Esther” will provide a lively finale to the first day of the festival with well-known and timeless hits.

The fair’s Sunday, September 6, begins at 10:30 a.m. with a joint fair high mass. Following the service, the “Tell” Music Association from Lahr-Hüttingen will provide the perfect musical backdrop during the lunchtime concert. Starting at 2:00 p.m., visitors can look forward to a varied afternoon program featuring performances by the DJK Irrel dance group, the daycare center, and the Irrel elementary school. In addition, the Beda Institute will present a children’s and youth theater performance.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., the Körperich-Wallendorf and, subsequently, the Welschbillig music associations will take over the musical entertainment. Sunday will conclude with the acoustic rock band “Friends,” who will get the fairgrounds rocking with live music in the evening.
On Fair Monday, September 7, the beer stand will open as early as 4:00 p.m. for the traditional after-work beer. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Menningen-Minden Accordion Orchestra and the Ferschweiler Music Association, who will bring the fair to a close.
Even away from the stage program, top-notch entertainment is guaranteed. Soccer darts, a carousel, a shooting gallery, and a candy stand invite visitors of all ages to stick around. In addition, a wide variety of food and drinks will be available on all three days to satisfy everyone’s appetite.
