The Epic of Gilgamesh tells of Ursel Hirtz

On the occasion of this year's International Women's Day and in light of the resurgence of patriarchal structures, Ursel Hirtz will narrate the epic of GILGAMESH on March 8 at 3:30 PM. Over five thousand years ago, GILGAMESH entered the stage of the world as a representative of a new type of human and has not left since.
Immeasurable wealth, and thus power, accumulated in the hands of a few. How does this power relate to women…? To minorities, the weaker ones…? What do the old stories say about wealth and power? They bring the topic to the point!
We want to hear that! And Ursel Hirtz, with her extensive experience as a storyteller, can do this like no other. Through her artistic approach to language and her free storytelling, she brings old stories, fairy tales, and myths to life and makes them tangible, unlocking them for us through her images and symbols.
The narration lasts about 75 minutes. Afterwards, everyone is invited to discuss this intense story and share their thoughts.
