Summer-Jazz-Festival 2026
Aug 26, 2026
Bitburg
This year's festival ends with another highlight. A swing orchestra will play the final chord and make the hearts of all friends of this music soar.
Hagen's Little Big Horns from Cologne bring back the legendary swing sound of the 1930s and play exactly the rhythmically emphasized jazz style for Lindy Hop dancers with an impressive brass section consisting of 4 saxophones and trumpets. Their motto, inspired by Duke Ellington, is "It don't mean a thing, if it ain't got that Swing," and on this rhythmic and harmonic foundation, the singers Dony Wirandana ("Voice of Germany") and Nicole Großjung shine particularly well. Enjoy this unique journey back to the golden swing era and musically travel with us on the "A-Train" to Harlem!
“Hagen's Little Big Horns” will perform on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, starting at 7 PM on the stage in the Bedagarten. In case of bad weather, the concert will take place in the fest hall of Haus Beda. Admission is free.
The Summer Jazz Festival 2026 in Bedagarten is a joint event of the Jazz Initiative Eifel, the Bitburg Cultural Community, and the Dr. Hanns Simon Foundation.
