Orgelmusiken 2025 in Bitburg
Jun 21, 2025 - Jul 5, 2025
Bitburg
Two musical events are planned for June and July 2025 at the Liebfrauenkirche in Bitburg.
A soirée will take place on Saturday evening, June 21, at 6:30 PM with Stefan Kollmann on the trombone and Manfred Kochems on the grand Winterhalter organ. Works by J.S. Bach, Johann Pezel, Lars-Eric Larsson, Augustin Barié, and Charles-Marie Widor will be performed. Stefan Kollmann studied orchestral music with a major in trombone and a minor in guitar at the University of Music in Saarland, graduating as a "State Certified Diplom-Orchestral Musician," and studied conducting for wind orchestras at the Conservatoire de Muziek in Maastricht. In his role as conductor of various orchestras, he has achieved outstanding successes in competitions. Stefan Kollmann is the chief conductor of the SJBO Karlsruhe. He is a full-time music teacher and lives in Schweich.
In the matinee on Saturday morning, July 5, at 11:30 AM, Marcel Berens from Schweich will be at the organ. He has already played concerts in Bitburg several times. Marcel Berens, born in 1979 in Prüm, completed all training at the Bishop's School of Church Music in Trier between 1997 and 2003 (organ with Christoph Schömig, Prüm). Since 2004, he has deepened his organ playing with KMD Martin Bambauer (Konstantin Basilica Trier) until he began an organ study at the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg with Prof. Jean-Jacques Kasel in 2015, which he completed in 2019 with the "premier prix" and in 2020 with the "Diplôme de Concert de la ville de Luxembourg," which was rated with the unanimous result of "Grande Distinction" (60/60 points) by the jury. As a senior teacher, he teaches Latin and history at the Stefan-Andres-Gymnasium in Schweich.
Admission to both concerts is free.
