The barrier-free comfort hiking trail in Daleiden is approx. 2 kilometres long and starts at the public car park in the immediate vicinity of the Eifelgold senior citizens' residence. The barrier-free hiking trail runs not far from the Ginsterheiden nature reserve and passes the renaturalised Heimbach stream and regionally characteristic hedge structures. From a historical point of view, the Willibrord fountain along the path is interesting; a plaque informs about the fountain named after St. Willibrord with the help of legends and illustrations. St. Willibrord was active as a missionary in the West Eifel, among other places, and founded the monastery in Echternach in the 7th century.

The Comfort Trail was supported by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund as part of the response to the COVID 19 pandemic.
